Italian BBQ School Oaksmere Sally from La Cucina Italiana didn’t disappoint on our first Italian BBQ course. We cooked Involtini di pollo (Chicken stuffed with smoked cheese, wrapped in prosciutto), Tagliata (thinly sliced steak with ragu & red wine reduction & the most amazing pesto I’ve ever tasted) followed by Cipolla e tonno pizza ( red onion and tuna pizza). All prepared by the class and cooked on the gas Whistler grill and the charcoal Kamado Joe. What did they say? Score 91/100 An excellent crowd-feeder, this five-burner BBQ has multiple cooking zones and uniform heat distribution that produced pleasing results; it scored full marks cooking corn on the cob, vegetable kebabs and steak, and only dropped one mark on our sausage and burger tests. The accompanying rotisserie accessory also shone, cooking our chicken perfectly in under two hours.
