To Build or To Buy?
For some of you, building one may not be an option so an off the shelf modular set could be the way to go.
Self Built.
Advantages:
1) Choose your own size and the layout.
2) Use which ever brands of grill and appliances if you wanted to.
3) Choose the materials you like. Concrete, wood, metal etc.
Disadvantages:
1) Can be more expensive depending on size & materials
2) Will take longer to build than off the shelf set up.
3) Difficult to relocate if you move.
4) Once built, it may be difficult to add or remove items in the future.
Pre built off the shelf / modular units.
Advantages:
1) Very quick to set up
2) Uniform look
3) Warranty and spare parts are readily available
4) Easy to add additional units in the future if required.
5) Can be relocated if you move.
Disadvantages:
1) You may not be able to use certain types of grill and appliances from different manufactures.
2) Not individual to you.
3) Sizes may be limited by the manufactures products.
Whichever way you decide to go, you will have total control over the type, design and placement of the ODK, which if planned correctly, will serve you well for many years to come. Obviously it would be impossible for us to answer all questions relating your individual project, but what we can help with is friendly, honest advise, so please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions that you may have, hopefully we can help you realise your idea
